SUMMARY
Robuust Amsterdam is a young Dutch interior label founded in 2018 by Job Althof and Niek Sanders. Since its inception, the company has been focussed on developing sustainable, minimalist and timeless interior items that will last a lifetime.
During my graduate internship at Robuust Amsterdam, I had the opportunity to design a new product for their growing collection. I was responsible for all phases of the design process: discover, define, develop and deliver. The result is a minimalistic ceiling fixture consisting of two asymmetrically overlapping circles, giving the impression that these are hovering in the air.

What made this design assignment challenging was the limited time available for the scope of the project. This forced me to work quickly and structured to stay on schedule. This internship turned out to be extremely valuable in my development as a designer.
